Featured Partner

Tortorella Design is a Ohio graphic design company that offers a full range of services. Neil Tortorella started in the business at 17, way back in the dark ages (circa 1973) as a freelance photographer. His first project was a series of books for the Pendulum Press, a Connecticut publisher of educational books. After being published (and paid) he was hooked.

Neil's site

Prior to starting Tortorella Design, Neil held positions as Corporate Art Director for Alo Cosmetics, a Suburban Division Marketing Manager for the Miami Herald and Director of Production for Ohio Week Magazine. He started Tortorella Design in 1986 on a shoe string working out of the basement of his townhouse condominium in the thriving metropolis of Hartville, Ohio (population: about 12 if you count the cows and chickens). He also started up Studio 7 with his bud, Shawn Wood at around the same time. They quickly found out that they weren't going to make much dough off the ad agencies (who saw them as competitors and not suppliers), so they quietly split off into two enterprises.

Neil focuses on business-to-business and community service organizations, providing collateral materials, identity and web design. His clients have included The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, Continental Tire, American Mensa, Ltd, Family Services, Quest Recovery Services, The Pro Football Hall of Fame, The M.A. Hanna Company (now PolyOne), Bridal Fair Magazine and EcoLab. He's won his fair share of awards, several of which can be found either in the trunk of his car or under his bed.

Tortorella Design World Headquarters is now located in North Canton, Ohio, a mere 9000 miles from downtown Bandar, Seri Begawan, Brunei. Fortunately Neil gets frequent flier miles for long distance calls when consulting on a project with Catherine. It's the ideal setup for him now, with just a 2 second commute from the bedroom to the office in the morning.

When Neil's not working, he can be found peddling himself around on his bike, hurting himself at the gym or playing his guitar
